Menstrual hygiene is not just a health issue — it is a dignity, education, child protection and gender equality issue.
Today 03/06/2026, NIMO CARE (Nimo Association) is proud to have reached 449 parents, teachers, pupils, and students through a Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) sensitization campaign at BEBS INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC COMPLEX, NURSERY, PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOL MILE 18, Wonya Mavio Community. Through interactive sessions, demonstrations, open conversations, safe space discussions and distribution of menstrual hygiene kits. We empowered participants with knowledge on: • Menstrual health and body changes • Proper hygiene practices for safe and healthy menstruation • Breaking stigma and harmful myths surrounding menstruation • Supporting girls in school to reduce absenteeism • The role of parents and teachers in creating a supportive environment This outreach is part of our commitment to ensuring that no girl misses school, feels ashamed, or suffers in silence because of her period. Consequently, Nimo care provided menstrual hygiene kits to children of menstruation age in the primary Level. We extend our appreciation to the management, teachers, pupils and students and parents for opening their doors and hearts to this important conversation. Together, we are building a community where girls can thrive with confidence, dignity, and equal opportunity.
